Maine Coon / Domestic Long Hair / Mixed (long coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Large
Meet Kimmy, a beautiful black-and-white Maine Coon mix who was surrendered to us by her previous owner, along with her friend Penny (who was being bullied by one of the other cats in the household). At two years of age, Kimmy is a very outgoing and friendly girl who absolutely LOVES attention; in fact, she demands it! She will follow you around from the moment you step into the room, and if you sit down, she’ll sit right next to you soaking up all of the pets and love you give her! Kimmy is very bonded with Penny – she is very protective of Penny, and we believe that she is actually Penny’s biological aunt -- so we are requiring that the two girls be adopted together. Besides being good with other cats, Kimmy seems to be fine with dogs just as long as they’re not in her personal space. She hasn't had any exposure to children, but because of her outgoing personality, she would probably be okay with them; however, because she needs to be adopted with Penny and Penny is so shy, a home with older, considerate children only would be best for both of them. Kimmy is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations, and she has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She also uses the litter box like a good girl. Kimmy is located in Burke, VA. If you are interested in adopting her, please fill out an adoption application for her on our website: http://www.omcrescue.org/forms/adoption_application.php.
